Composer Neil Rolnick announces the release of his newest CD, Extended Family (Innova 782). The event will be celebrated at Le Poisson Rouge on January 11, with the help of ACME (American Contemporary Music Ensemble) and pianist Bob Gluck. Concerts celebrating the new CD will also happen at Hudson View Gardens’ Sunday soirees. On January 9 at 4pm Neil will perform his song cycle “Making Light of It” with baritone Robert Osborne. On January 30 at 5pm Evelyn Luest will perform his “50 Fugue” and he’ll play his “MONO Prelude.” Hudson View Gardens Lounge is at 183rd St & Pinehurst Ave, NYC. Robert Osborne sings Making Light Of It, setting of poems by Philip Levine, and with Neil on laptop.
