Peter McDowell Arts Consulting, based in San Francisco and New York City is a firm specializing in project work – ranging from public relations for live performances and CDs, strategic/career planning, web site development, grant writing, concert production/planning and more – for performing arts organizations and performing artists.

We are seeking a part time arts administration paid intern on a flexible on-call, as needed, hourly basis. Pay rate is based on experience.

Candidate should have impeccable computer skills including great ease and familiarity with excel as well as comfort with databases such as filemaker pro and familiarity with online applications such as googledocs and WordPress CMS. Interest and experience in the performing arts, especially classical and/or jazz music, is also a strong asset.

Duties include updating press, venue, and radio contact lists; performing internet research and completing web listing forms; mailings; and database management. Eventual involvement with client meetings and attending/working events is a possibility.
